Some records aren’t meant to be broken

Hi, it’s David! This week, I want to revisit a weekly chart I made in calmer, more predictable times about football Bundesliga records.

Just over eight months ago, I created a weekly chart about a potential football record. I thought I’d update it a few months down the road in May to see how it actually turned out - of course, it didn’t quite go as planned, with a month-long pandemic-induced break. How did it turn out, though? Well, not with a new record, but still a more than respectable performance:

After a full 34 match days, the Bayern Munich striker stands at exactly 34 goals, which puts him at a joint fourth place in the all-time top scorer list, together with Dieter Müller.

I hope you enjoyed this article! See you next week with a Weekly Chart by our mapping expert Hans.
